Ken's line, "Trump acted like Trump" made me laugh out loud. It probably did the same for every British listener. That's because here in the UK, the verb to trump is to, um, issue bodily gasses.
If only the US had stuck with this particular piece of English usage. The Orange One might never have becomes president. After all, who could take President Fart seriously? The downside of no Trump presidency is, of course, that Ken and Josh would not be podcasting. I hate to say it, but that's something I might be happy to live with. However, there's always Michael Avenatti and his ilk. That's more than enough to keep a podcast going.
Speaking of SLAPP happy, haven't heard peeps from Devin Nunes and The ABiss for quite some time. Last the COW boy emerged, there were huge investment issues for illegally trying to acquire Trump media Would love to hear about that if there's anything. Ditto, would love to hear (per Josh's discussion of campaign donations and legal fees) more about that and the wirefraud accusations against one or more of T's donation sites. Believe there was an investigation at minimum?
Good to hear Trump at the front and center of the last couple of episodes. That’s what drew me to you guys back in the All-The-President's-Lawyers days and continues to fascinate me.
I will take rare issue with Ken's speculation that Trump's ability to monetize his circus-like behavior in courts may have reached the point where his donors are tapped, and so of no value. Given that Trump and his campaigns have left a trail of unpaid bills behind wherever they go, a zero cost means all moneys drop to profit.
Why haven't we heard anything lately about how District Judge Aileen Cannon is issuing all kinds of subtle rulings to delay/dilute the classified documents case?
It just hit Chicago news that Nikko D’Ambrosio, mentioned for his defamation suit against the “are we dating the same guy” Facebook group, just got convicted for tax fraud. Who could’ve imagined?
I hate to admit that I got Ken’s normal scrutiny joke.
We few, we happy few.
Very subtle but absolutely delighted me!
I love how much josh appeared to relish in the crossover appeal of talking about how dumb bill ackman is.

I want an ilk!
Do you really want anything Avenatti might have touched?
You make an excellent point.

Love this show. Pats to Murderball.

PS... I think Serious Trouble needs a non disclosure agreement (ideally a non-enforceable one) as merch.
The judge let Trump make a statement "because, why not." I guess it's kind of like letting Herbert 92X read from the Quran.
